Let it Rain.~

Ceru yawned quietly as he strolled through the forest, wary of the Wild Pokemon he knew resided here. Snorunt trailed behind him, not really on alert but just following Ceru, content. Their last battle had been tough on Snorunt, but it was all fine now that he had gotten healed at the Pokemon Center. Ceru was sure he had heard Koga say that the first gym here was bug oriented- That was definitely going to be something Ceru was going to have to train for, considering he had no advantage nor disadvantage over that type. All they needed to do was get through this forest, and they would be in the next city.

Ceru stopped abruptly in his thoughts of wondering how Koga, Zero and Axel were doing training-wise when he heard a rustle from the trees behind him. Already getting on his guard, Ceru had his hand up and was ready to issue an attack order to Snorunt. Snorunt, who was not paying attention, had walk straight into Ceru's leg, rebounding and then focusing itself to wait patiently for whatever Ceru had stopped for.

The trees rustled again and then there was a plopping noise as a Pokemon fell from one of the trees, landing on the ground. The Pokemon was blue and white, holding a small berry that it had most likely obtained from the berry trees in this forest.

Staring at it blankly for a second, Ceru tilted his head to the side. He had seen this Pokemon around when he had lived in Floaroma Town- It was a Pachirisu.

The Pachirisu had it's eyes closed for a second and then shook it's head rapidly, shaking off the stun from the fall. It opened it's wide, childish eyes and soon looked at Ceru. It say there for a second, the berry in it's hand, the entire atmosphere incredibly tense.

And then it pretty much just blew off Ceru's presence, turning it's body to nibble on the berry. Ceru looked at it, shocked, and then brought his hand up to run through his hair.

".. Erm.. Hey.. Aren't you going to like, attack me or something?"

The Pachirisu looked up at Ceru again, its face slightly annoyed in expression which made it look rather comical. It placed the berry down to let out a hmph'ing sound, stretching up from a sitting position and crawling over to Cero. Stopping about a foot or so away from him as he backed away, the Pachirisu sat back down, staring straight at him.

"Pachi-Pachi?~" The Pachirisu waved it's little arms around, trying to emphasize something.

Ceru just stared back out like it was mentally deficit, though he couldn't deny but admit to himself that was incredibly cute.

".. Yeah.. Soo.. I'm going to catch you now. Okay? Snorunt, Icy Wind." Snorunt looked shocked by the command but nodded, blasting out an Icy Wind attack at the Pachirisu.

The Pachirisu spazzed at this, jumping up and fleeing from the attack, getting hit slightly by it. The Pachirisu grabbed it's tail and curled up there, glaring at Snorunt. Letting out a growl that somehow sounded as adorable as the Pokemon itself looked, the Pachirisu exposed it's tiny fangs.

Ceru just looked at it, not intimidated in any way. This made the Pachirisu angrier, and it cried out indignantly, jumping from it's curled up position and flying and Snorunt with a Spark attack, it's body covered in blue electricity.

"Pachi-PACHII!!"

This entire situation threw Ceru off balance, distracted by the Pachirisu's cuteness but also by the oddness of this scenario as a whole. "Snorunt, Protect." Snorunt braced itself and that green sphere of energy formed around it, blocking the Pachirisu's attack and causing it to fly back a few feet before landing on the ground again.

"So, yeah, I decided to catch you because you're cute and I'm going to need more Pokemon if I'm going to try for a Gym Badge. So, umm.." Ceru took out one of the Pokeballs off of his belt, clicking the button once so that it enlarged.

"Snorunt, Icy Wind." "Snoruuunt!~"

Another blast flew out of Snorunt's large mouth, this time hitting the already wounded Pachirisu head on. The Pokemon let out a startled cry and then curled in on itself, deciding in it's mind that it didn't want to play anymore.

Laughing softly, Ceru smiled in the Pokemon's direction. Tossing the Pokeball gently at it, a noise was heard as it connected with the Pachirisu's body, one last sound from it being heard as it was absorbed into the ball in a flash of red light.

"Pa-pachi.."
