Preparing for the Gym: Ragnarok Vs Kuroi

I was walking around Fauna City. Rage was wrapped around my shoulders. Growly walked beside me. We stopped by a fountain and sat down. I began to pet Growly on his head. I smiled at them both.
My wonderful Pokemon. You guys are the best.

He wakes up from the Pokemon Center with Sona on his head and Ace in his lap. He stood up placing Ace on his shoulder while Sona slept on his head. He walked out of the Pokemon center and began walking through the city. As he walked he saw a trainer sitting on a fountain. Knowing he needed more practice he walked over in front of the trainer grinning. "Hello my name is Kuroi, there I see you are a trainer and I was wondering could we have a battle before I battle the gym leader."

I growl as I look up at the newcomer that had interrupted me and my pokes time together.
Like I care. You interrupted me.
I stand up and my pokes go to either side of me, growling at Kuroi.
I'm Ragnarok. I'll fight and beat you.
I walk a ways away from him, my pokes in front of me. I stop and turn around.

He grins. "Well this let us not prolong this anymore. Sona wake up" He feels Sona stand up on his head before bouncing down to the ground. He felt Ace climb onto his shoulder to watch his fellow teammate fight. "So who are you going with?" This was his first real battle with Sona. He hoped he could win this battle.

I smirk. Rage goes forward alongside Growly. They both beckon your pokemon forward. I give them both one last pat before going back to my spot and putting my hands in my pockets. I tilt my head back and give a tiny chuckle before bring it back down and glaring at you, my face set in determination and a thirst for battle.
My pokemon are ready. They don't care who they face. So I leave the choice to you. I have complete faith in them. You decide your opponent.

He looks at the Growlithe before turning his attention to Dratini. Ace would have a easier time fighting Dratini. So he decided to let Sona fight Growlithe instead. "I will let Sona fight your Growlithe. No switching at anytime during the fight. Lets begin." He watched as Sona began to bounce on her tail.

I give an I don't care shrug. Rage comes back to me. He was mad and kept hitting the ground with his tail. Growly barked with excitement. He bounced forward and stood in front of Sona. Flames were seen around his mouth because of his excitement.
Are you ready?

"Use Swift!" Sona jumped into the air before waving its tail in the air firing a series of stars at Growlithe. Sona smiled with excitement. Kuroi knew Sona limits from her battle with Ace. Ragnarok was in for a long fight today.

I bring my right hand forward and snap my fingers. I have my eyes close, visualizing each moment.
Growly prepare Flame Wheel.
I told Growly to prepare for a flame wheel. Growly barked an agreement. As the stars came down, Growly's body began to tense up.
NOW!
I told Growly to act now. Growly ran forward and activated Flame Wheel. He jumped into the air just as the stars hit the ground where he was at and sped after Sona.

He thought about telling Sona to dodge but he wanted to test her endurance. "Sona use Double Hit when he gets closer!" Sona waited right until Growlithe got right in front of Sona then swung her tail twice at Growlithe taking damage from the Flame Wheel. He knew that was a stupid attack but it would at least try to hurt both pokemon.

I opened my eyes to watch Growly progress. As he neared Sona, I saw that it was preparing for an attack.
I wonder.
Growly was oblivious to what Sona was doing. Then Sona used Double Hit. The attacks Connected. I then decided to act.
USE BITE GROWLY!
I snap my fingers for him to use bite. The flames dispersed and Growly opened his mouth wide to bite down on Sona.

That attack reminded him of Ace's fight with Sona. He knew exactly how to respond. "Sona let him bite you. Then use your memory to counter." Sona smiled as Growlithe bit her, she then responded by using Fury Swipes on its tail. He knew he was getting risky now, letting Sona take all that damage was not smart at all.

I grin satisfied with my plan. His Sona was taking damage and that was what mattered. Growly got hit with the fury swipes repeatedly.
Growly don't lose your grip. Now use Flame Wheel.
Growly grimaced from the attack but don't let go. He then tensed up and activated flame Wheel, engulfing himself in the flames as he sped up. Rage sat by me, studying the battle.
keep close watch Rage and learn from this.

He saw Growlithe take damage from the Fury Swipes. Sona for some reason could not shake Growlithe loose those. As soon as Growlithe activated his Flame Wheel that when he would dodge. "Sona move right then fall to the ground now!" Sona move to the right barely in time as some of the flames hit her. She fail to the ground bouncing on her tail. She began to breathe heavily showing signs of fatigue. But hid them behind a smile.

I nodded in approval of Growly's antics.
Good job Growly. You're doing good. Now keep it up. Use Flame Wheel once more.
Growly followed after Sona. He sped down toward Sona. I figured Sona would probably try something else. If so I'd just counter it with another Flame Wheel.

He watched as Growlithe followed up with another Flame Wheel. Sona could not take on another Flame Wheel. "Sona bounce off your tail to avoid the Flame Wheel." Sona nodded as she bounced on her tail avoiding the Flame Wheel. She landed on the ground facing Growlithe. He could not switch her out with Ace. She is just going to have to tough this one out.

I laugh with pleasure. Rage smirked as he hid back a laugh. Growly stepped from the flames and barked at Sona. His face was a mixture of annoyance and pleasure.
Growly doesn't like all your running. And tell you the truth neither do I. Growly use Leer.
As I told Growly to use Leer, Rage wrapped himself around my arm still in its pocket. Growly eyes began to glow red as Leer activated.

He did not like this guy he was fighting. It seemed as if he was evil. Kuroi hated people who was evil. "Sona move your tail in front of your eyes to block leer." Sona nodded and moved her tail in front of her eyes but not fast enough as she was caught by leer. He knew leer was a moved that lowered defenses.

I laugh again. Rage can't contain his laughter and laughs as well. Growly gets anxious and starts bouncing about. I point at Sona.
Go Growly. Flame Wheel once more.
Growly barks at my command and runs forward. He activates flame wheel and barrels forward at full speed toward Sona. The flames leap out at Sona as though they are alive.

He knew this would have to be Sona's final attack. He looked down at Ace who was getting anxious. He turned his attention back to Sona as she got ready for the attack. "Sona use Double Hit again!" She nodded. Her tail grew purple as she charged at Growlithe swinging its' tail twice at Growlithe.

My heart began to beat with the excitement of the battle. I could feel Rage watching it intently from his position. Growlithe was barreling down toward Sona. I saw Sona begin to use Double Hit. This will be interesting. I wonder what will happen? I snapped my fingers and Growlithe struck against Sona. The flames spread out, engulfing both pokemon. I watched intently, wondering if Growlithe would be ok. Then I saw Growlithe jumping back and landing. His back right knee was wobbling and it seemed he was struggling to stand on it. He had a few scratches on him here and there, but it seemed he was quite fine.
Growlithe run forward and use bite to make sure he is down.
Growlithe heard my command and ran ahead. He was running quite awkwardly because of his leg. He opened his mouth as he neared Sona location, his fangs showing fully and prepared to bite.

He watched as Sona fell back on the ground. He quickly took out his pokeball for her and opened as the red beam took her in. "Sona comeback and take a nice rest. There is a fine line of knowing when to stop. And Sona is a female." He put the pokeball in his bag as he saw Ace look up at him showing he is ready to go in.

Growlithe stopped his charge. His face twisted in irritation. He barked at Kuroi, but came back to his spot. I went forward quietly. I looked at Kuroi and smiled devilishly. I gave Growly a pat on the head for his good work. Growly purred and I went back to my spot.
Your opponent is still Growly. Now lets commence.

He looked down at Ace. He looked back at Ragnarok. "This trainer does not know when enough is enough. But I guess I will have to take my chances with Ace and hope for back to back victores." Ace jumped out in front spurting water from its mouth showing it is ready for combat. "See the power of my water pokemon!"

I give a simple shrug. My face portrayed something of a nice and simple i dont care look. Then I pointed at Ace. I raised my right hand and used my index finger to point him out.
Growly that is your opponent. Now crush him!
As I give this command my face contorts into that of a psycho like appearance. I wave my hand away to add emphasis. Growly and Rage begin to laugh.
Now get serious. Use Leer!
Growly barked and his eyes began to glow red. He stood still as he looked Ace down with his Leer attack.
