Cuteness: The most deadly weapon

Ceru once again found himself in the middle of Fauna City, Pachirisu's Pokeball gripped tightly in his hand. He only wanted to train a little bit more, get Pachirisu to a level of battling that would enable him to be used in battle- Soon, Ceru hoped. He wanted to fight the Gym Leader, and he had already decided Snorunt would be ready. Now he just needed Pachirisu..

Dropping the Pokeball on the ground, it hit it and then burst open, Pachirisu spilling out in white light. The Pokeball flew back into Ceru's hand and he pocketed it, then seeing the Pokedex he had left earlier by accident, he picked that up and pocketed it as well. Thank god he had managed to get it back before anyone ran off with it.

Pachirisu looked back at Ceru and then tilted his head. "Pachi?"

Ceru smiled down at him and waved his hand in the air, signaling for Pachirisu to go farther out. He nodded and did so, bounded about nine or so feet away from Ceru and stopping there, turning back to look at him while his ears twitched. "We just need a little bit more training, Pachi. How about a few more laps with Quick attack? If we can get your endurance up, it'll be easier to go from there."

Pachirisu let out a sigh but nodded, determined. Taking off again, Pachirisu began to run circles around the area, kicking off into high gear with Quick attack and keeping it constant throughout. His image was blurring and you could hear him panting from all the way where Ceru was.

"Pachi-Pachi-Pa, pa, pa, Pachi!"

This lasted for a few more seconds before Pachirisu stumbled over its feet, crashing to the ground and crying out. Ceru immediately ran towards him, kneeling down and picking him up. Pachirisu was fine, however, just breathing heavily. Ceru let out one quiet laugh when he bit his finger, causing him to set him down and stand back up.

”That was good- You’re getting better. But we’re not done yet. Just a little more training, Pachi. And then you can rest, all right?” Pachirisu nodded and started to run around in a circle right there, giving the image of him chasing his tail or something along those lines. Ceru rolled his eyes and laughed again, taking a step back.

”Okay, Pachi. Jump and use Spark!” ”Pachii!!!” Pachirisu proceeded to fling himself into the air, blue electricity flaring up around his small body and giving him a boost, propelling him higher up.

Curling himself into a ball, Pachirisu blasted back down to the ground, Spark still active. When he hit, a small wave of electricity sparked along the ground there, the rest of it fleeing from Pachirisu’s body. Ceru nodded his approval, grinning and leaning back slightly to allow him more room. ”That was –great-, Pachi. Just one more thing, and then you’re off to the Pokemon Center. Sounds fair enough to you? Good. Sorry we can’t train Charm- I don’t need MY attack being lowered.”

Pachirisu giggled and then shifted where he now stood, waiting for Ceru’s next order. ”Okay, Pachi.. Run laps and activate Spark. I want to see how the speed compares to Quick attack.” Pachirisu nodded and took on a determined look, bounding off to start to run again. Three laps in and breathing heavily, Pachirisu kicked into spark, running faster now that he was covered in electricity.

Pachirisu was only able to hold this for one more lap, however, before abruptly stopping and laying down where he was. Ceru laughed loudly and cheerfully at this, sprinting over to him and picking his body up. ”Good, Pachi. Good boy. Now rest.~” Taking out his Pokeball, he tapped it gently against Pachirisu’s forehead, the small Pokemon letting out a content sound as it disappeared in a flash of red light.

Ceru than headed off towards the Pokemon Center, excitement already burning inside him.
