That adorable little lightning squirrel. :3

Ceru grinned to himself as he stood in the near center of Fauna City, People stopping to glance at him every now and then, wondering what he was up to. He ignored them, though. He was already falling in love with this city- It reminded him so much of Floaroma Town. He spun in a circle with his arms hanging out, once, breathing in the clean air with the smell of flowers. When he was finished he adjusted himself, grabbing the Pokeball his Pachirisu was in and nodding to himself.

This is what he had come here for, anyways. To work with Pachirisu. Pressing the button on the Pokeball once so that it would enlarge, he threw it into the air and it burst open, Pachirisu appearing on the ground in a beam of white light. Pachirisu looked back at Ceru, his tail swaying from side to side in his expression that of child-like excitement.

"Pachi-Pachi?~"

Ceru laughed once, and moved his hand to rub the back of his neck. He really didn't know where to go from here- Snorunt had been a natural battler, but Pachirisu was different. Extremely different, actually. Pulling out the Pokedex he barely ever used, the one he had gotten from a friend back in Cerulean city many years ago, he clicked a button to boot it up. It took a few seconds- It was one of those old types, the one with the set up like a pocket note book and the red color scheme. A good thing about it, though, was that Ceru had been able to get it upgraded in Floaroma Town by the lead worker at the Valley Windworks. Now it had information on all the Pokemon up to the Sinnoh region.

Clicking a few buttons on it after the blue light on it lit up, signaling it was ready, he got it to scan Pachirisu and tell him the moves he knew.

"Pachirisu's currently known moves are; Spark, Quick Attack and Charm." The Pokedex said in that robotic male voice of it's.

Ceru nodded- These weren't bad moves, actually. He could work with these. Looks like Pachirisu was solo training, though. Ceru wasn't the type to pit his Pokemon against each other for sake of mere training. Pachirisu was getting anxious now, skittering around the area and cheerfully yelling out. Ceru rolled his eyes, but couldn't resist laughing. What an odd creature.

"Okay than, Pachirisu. Let's see what you got. First, show me your spark attack- No- Don't aim towards me! That way, Pachi, that wa-" Ceru was abruptly cut off as Pachirisu sparked with blue electricity and then charged at him, the blue electricity completely covering him as he shouted excitedly. When it hit him, Ceru collapsed onto the ground, dazed.

Ceru's Pokedex fell out of his hand and rolled on the ground for a moment before stopping, laying there on the grass. Ceru himself twitched every few seconds, blue sparks being able to be seen appearing on his body every time he did so. His hair was standing on end and he was just staring at Pachirisu, who was sitting in front of him and giggling.

Collecting himself, Ceru sat up, the electric effect wearing off from his body. He put his hands on his knees and looked over Pachirisu and then sighed- He wanted to give up now, but he knew he couldn't. He had to at least give Pachirisu a chance.

"Fine, fine. At least I know your Spark is pretty potent.. Regardless, let's try a quick attack this time- No, Pachi. I'm seriously not doing that again. Turn that way. Good boy.~" Ceru sighed again as he narrowly avoided being hit with another attack, Pachirisu having consented and pointed in the other direction, taking off at full speed. His body begin to blur and a white outline trailed behind him, soon rocketing off into the air as he jumped.

Ceru sat there and watched, surprised and bemused. Pachirisu soon came jogging back to him, slightly out of breath. It probably hadn't worked this hard, even though this training was pretty minimal, in a while. That was sort of unsettling for Ceru, but wasn't nothing he couldn't handle. He'd have to just train Pachirisu's endurance more than he had intended.

"Well, Pachi, I can't really try out your Charm attack by ourselves, so I'll just trust you on that one. How about this? Start off on a run around this area and then kick into Quick Attack when you feel you need to. We're really going to need to train your stamina, at this rate." Pachirisu seemed to reluctantly nod, and then took off, running around the field and starting a Quick Attack a few seconds later.

Ceru watched him for a few more minutes, frowning as he stopped and crawled back to him, breathing heavily. Pachirisu couldn't take much more of this- But Ceru wanted to try one more thing before stopping the training so soon. For stopping this soon, regardless, he was going to need a little more training before he fought the gym- Or he wouldn't be able to use Pachirisu at all.

"Look, love, I know you're tired, but let's go for one more thing before we stop- Aww, don't give me that look- HEY. You better not be using charm on me! Dangit, Pachi, one more thing, and then we'll stop, I promise." Pachirisu stopped giving him a nearly irresistibly cute look, and began to pout. Ceru rolled his eyes and blew it off- Pachirisu could handle one more move.

"Spin and use Spark, Pachi. I want to make an offensive shield for you like I did with Snorunt- C'mon! It won't be that hard. Just try it, okay?" Pachirisu mumbled in childish annoyance but proceeded to the center of the field anyways. Doing as Ceru commanded, he began to spin and charge his Spark attack, but soon tripped over his feet and sprawled out on the ground.

Ceru rolled his eyes but consented that this was enough- Pachi had tried, atleast, and they could work on it more later. Calling him over, Pachi crawled into his lap. Ceru took out his Pokeball and tapped it on his head, returning him in a flash of red light.
