The King of the Forest of Dreams.~

Ceru calmly walked through the forest, Snorunt trailing behind him as before. He knew he needed to get Pachirisu to a Pokemon Center soon, but he also thought that it would be a good idea to get some training in for Snorunt. He was going to need Pachirisu too though, of course.. If Pachirisu was even capable of fighting. Though, Ceru was wondering if it would be a good idea to catch another Pokemon, considering neither of his had an advantage over the bug type.

He stopped at a small clearing, the Pokeball holding Pachirisu clinging to his belt. He wanted to get both of his Pokemon's training over with now, but he couldn't possibly manage that. Pachirisu was still too hurt from the fight with Snorunt. Sighing, Ceru sat down, and Snorunt idled in front of him, waiting.

Ceru got what he wanted when an Oddish wandered out of the trees, making a small sound when it's tiny feet touched the ground. "Oddish-Oddish~" Grinning, Ceru realized it hadn't noticed them yet, just continuing to the opposite edge of the clearing. Pointing at it, Ceru quietly directed Snorunt, and he responded in turn.

Slowly tip-toeing across the grass to the Oddish, Snorunt's motion made the sight humorous. When Snorunt was a good few feet away from the Oddish, still continuing to walk slowly, Ceru twirled his finger in the air. "Snorunt, Icy Wind.~"

"Sno-Snoruuuuuunt!" Snorunt called out as it opened it mouth and shot a stream-like blast of strong cold air at Oddish. Ceru was pretty smug about the type advantage, and was expecting this fight to be over quickly. The Oddish let out a startled cry as it was hit by the attack and thrown across the clearing, now at the exact opposite location to where Ceru was.

The Oddish turned angrily to Snorunt, letting out an indignant squeak. It's leaves on it's blue, bulbous body started to glow and a red beam shot at Snorunt, but Ceru was prepared for this situation- Well, really, any situation in which Oddish would retaliate. "Snorunt, quickly, Protect." Ceru announced, raising his hands in the air.

A sphere of green energy flew up around Snorunt, the Oddish's Absorb attack hitting it and then dissipating. This made the Oddish rage again, this time bounding at Snorunt after the Protect faded. Jumping into the air, the Oddish advanced down upon Snorunt with a Pound attack, attempting to knock it out for revenge.

Twirling his finger again, Ceru smirked. "Spin quickly and use Icy Wind!" Snorunt began to do what it's master ordered, but in mid-spin, just as it's mouth opened to blow out Icy Wind, Oddish's attack connected and pushed Snorunt down onto the ground. Snorunt quickly flipped around to push Oddish off, but now he was damaged and angry.

The Oddish smiled wide and shot an Absorb at close range, but Ceru was already standing up and waving his hand, having planned to attack Oddish anyways. "Icy Wind!" Snorunt responded in kind and quickly shot out the blast, countering the Absorb and the attack struggling with each other. Soon the Icy Wind won over and the Absorb was beaten, the Oddish getting hit by the small power that remained of the weakened Icy Wind.

Oddish shook it's body and jumped at Snorunt again. "Oddiiiiish!!!" The Oddish flipped in mid-air, bounding down on Snorunt with another Pound attack, smiling widely to itself. Snorunt appeared startled and took a step backwards, Ceru preparing another strategy.

Ceru snarled quietly and briefly, trying to think of a strategy. He wouldn't be able to pull off another protect again, not so soon after the first one, and the attack was too fast and close t- And Snorunt was hit. Ceru, having taken too long to think of something, was dumbstruck as Snorunt was sent sprawling, the Oddish sounding content.

Ceru sighed and tilted his head back as Snorunt got back up, shaking the daze caused by the attack off. Ceru raised his arm into the air and then pointed directly at Oddish. "Finish it, Snorunt. Icy Wind."

Snorunt moved to attack but instead of shooting out Icy Wind, it went by pure instinct and jumped at the Oddish, startling and stunning the Oddish, not having expected it to do so. In one fell move, Snorunt bit down incredibly hard on Oddish, causing it to yell out.

Soon the Oddish fell to the ground, Snorunt not letting go until it did so, then pulling away and waddling back over to where Ceru stood. Surveying the fainted Oddish whimsically, Ceru decided not to catch it, and shrugged.

Turning to pick Snorunt up, he patted him on the head briefly.
